221g and case suspended

Here is our situation:

My wife had her interview on June 13, 2013, she was handed a 221(g) and asked to come back later.

The reason for the 221g:

We got married in December, 2012 but we didn't have a wedding ceremony and we didn't live together due to lack of time – the CO wrote on the 221g form that we must complete the wedding ceremony and living together

My question:

-We planned our wedding to be on September 12, 2013 so can we email the embassy and request an appointment right after the wedding.(does it take too long to get a response ?)

-Is it going to be another interview at the embassy, or we just have to submit the required documents?

Additional details:

The interview last about 30 seconds, right after the CO looked over the I-130( I answered N/A to question 21 on the I-130) since we never lived together.

We never lived together before my husband got his visa. That is not a requirement.

It sounds more like the CO does not believe you have provided the valid proof of marriage. Did you have a marriage certificate? What evidence did you give them you were actually married? How did you get married and where?

You will need to contact them when you have the paperwork they are looking for, but email sometimes takes a while to get a response. It is the main way to get hold of them though. They will let you know at that point if you need to just drop off the papers or if another interview and more questioning is required.
