Hi, my fiance is getting stationed in the UK next year and we plan on getting married there. I'm currently finishing my studies in Poland and I intend to join him there. After we get married, can I apply for CR-1 in case we'd like to visit his family in the USA? He will be stationed there for at least 3 years, I'm afraid that before he gets the chance to travel my CR-1 would expire. Is there some other document I can apply for living abroad that would allow me to travel to the USA freely? I didn't see any topic that would cover the case of marrying a military member stationed outside the USA. I really need some help and advice on how to obtain all possibly needed documents from the polish side while I'm still here. Help, anyone? helpsmilie.gif

the us citizen is the one who will file your 130 petition for spouse for a cr1 visa

total time frame from filing to getting on a plane is 8-12 months

there are no other ways for you to come legally other than work, student and tourist visas

if he is filing from abroad the time is reduced

a military expedite is something to look into, but being that he is already deployed, not sure how that works. even in the case of an expedite, it is around three months

when you are granted a cr1 visa, you will need to reside in the us over six months per year to keep it valid

CR-1 is not for a purpose of visiting family in the US, it is to enter and stay as a permanent resident. You will need B2 tourist visa and I don't think you will have any problems with getting it in London as a wife of USAF serviceman.
