They do have the I-130 at the interview. At your citizenship interview they will have every piece of paper you ever submitted and are supposed to sift through it looking for discrepancies. Not that they would be that thorough to look at your boring parent's birthplaces.

Of course you can tell them at the interview to change it. You could even do a new one and offer it as a switch out. And when you sign the last page at the interview your are signing an oath.

I, the undersigned applicant for a United States immigrant visa, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that all statements which appear in this application, consisting of Form DS-230 Part I and Part II combined, have been made by me, including the answers to items 1 through 45 inclusive, and that they are true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief.

So you are re-signing the first part so to speak. I would match the G-325A.

Okay. I'll take a fresh copy with me, but ask them to make the correction on the form if they can. I feel so stupid.

Also... What if I had got it wrong on the first form with the i-130 and was now correct? Folks must make mistakes all the time.

My CEAC status is currently ready and the last update date was the 1st.

I'm guessing this is when they received my medical and/or my DS230 part 1.

So impatiently waiting for the to update again and set my interview date.

Then i'll be booking another crazy expensive trip to the big smoke

They sent my interview letter the day they got the medical results (they had the forms a few days before).

I'd call them (you can call DoS or the embassy extortion line) if you're really impatient and see if they know the scheduled date. smile.png Else, my letter took 3 days to show up.

The CEAC status will continue to say READY from now until your interview, so it won't update and say anything useful from now if you think they've had all your forms and medical logged.

I think the big difference is you sent in your Ds230 well before your medical.

I think mine would have both been received on the same day.

If i haven't heard anything by Monday i may call the extortion line.

Just called the extortion line.

They have my ds230 etc and my medical but said it takes about 6 weeks to process the paper work so i won't get my interview date until then.

Either they are singing to the hymn sheet or you've been very lucky

They're singing from the sheet. The extortion line is just a call centre in Scotland, so if they don't have an actual specific answer for you, they just read you back some generic line.

When did they get your medical results and what's your last update date on CEAC? I'd keep an eye on CEAC, as I expect the next time that touch date changes, it'll be someone assigning your interview date.

dzatlien's timeline is quite similar to yours, and they got their interview assigned for August 2. I think 6 weeks is mega unlikely just to be assigned a date. Did you put a travel date in your cover letter? That's how we think we got ours so soon. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=157192

The touch date on our ceac is July 1st which is when they received my medical and a couple of days after they recieved they DS230.

It's only a week ago so i'd imaging it will take a couple of weeks to process. Just being impatient.

I said that we were hoping to travel in early November so I'm sure they're not rushing things,

We've had to book our cruise as the cabins we wanted were starting to sell out.

I'm sure it will all be fine, but as the cut off date for cancelling is August 3rd i was hoping to at least get the interview date by then.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry then. You'll have a date assigned by August 3rd, I'm sure.

I'm super jealous of your cruise! So much better than the last minute scramble to pack and flight we're going to be doing.

Hopefully good news

The last updated date on my CEAC status has changed to the 12th July.

Fingers crossed this means my interview date has been set.

Now do i wait for a letter or call up and see if they can tell me anything

No letter so called the extorition line.

Case was updated on Friday but no details as to what was done.

Interview date hasn't been set yet.

they will contact me 3 week after its been set so i will probably get told the date towards the end of August.

I read something on Twitter that may or may not be relevant to why yours is taking a little longer:

"@USAinUKCGCorner

#USVisas: We are transitioning to a new visa & appointment service on July 26 & appointments for Aug will not be available until then."

To be fair, I have no idea whether it would affect you, but sounds like it might if you are waiting for an interview date and it seems to be taking a while?

Haha, I was just looking at that (started following them recently)! If you check the FAQ, it doesn't alter how immigrant and K visas work. I think it's for work visas and stuff, which are scheduled by the applicant rather than doled out.
