Whts the next step after the choice of agent (son petitioning his mother)

Hello everyone,

I have a family friend in states which he(US citizen) petition his mother .

Last june 2012, he response for the choice of agent (which is him). Until now no response was receive from USCIS or NVC.my questions:

What is the next step?

How many months is the waitng time until they request for the rqts?

Why does it take so long to response in his choice of agent?

I am petitioning my parents too. I am USC. After choosing an agent, I pay the AOS (online) $88 for both case. And I'm in the process of signing I-864.

As for the choice of agent, I know that NVC will received it soon.

Hope it helps and anyone, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

Try to call NVC, it will be a long wait though. In my case, I received AOS invoice where I can sign in online to pay, I just have to put case number and invoice number. Did your friend provided email address? NVC usually email the agent or petitioner. Right when I pay $88 for AOS processing fee, they send me another invoice to pay for Visa Processing fee. Good luck and hope it helps.
