Timeline

Make sure you buy your liquors before packing for your trip. Can no longer take them with your carry-on luggage. Airport Security in US airport will take them from you (Dawn it.... $100 bottle of XO). Pack them in your checkin bags. OR you can buy them at US Duty-free shop.

As you already said, buy at the duty free shop at Tan Son Nhat is your best bet. Here's the number to the shop I bought my wine:

I want to bring a few bottles of wine to Vietnam. Do you know what is required at HCMC customs? Thanks.

i took a 2 bottles of asti no problems to vietnam i dont know if i told anyone about it
