hello everyone.

to those who have undergone CR1 petition and were dual citizen (US/Filipino) do I still need to get a Legal capacity to marry or not since i'm already a dual?

July 17, 2013 - Received a call from USCIS for RFE.

July 19, 2013 - Sent additional evidence via air21.

* Basically called atleast 2x a week for the month of July/August to check the status of my husband's petition

9-10-13 - ( 2nd month wedding monthsarry ) Recieved an email stating petition APPROVED on 09SEP13!!!!dancin5hr.gif

9-13-13 - Called IV Manila & lady was super nice, checked husband's petition, was told to call back Monday for case#.!

9-17-13 - Got the MNL case number!!! completed the DS-260 form& sent an email.dancin5hr.gif

9-30-13 - Medical: Day 1

10-1-13 - Medical : Day 2 Husband PASSED!!!

10-22-13 - INTERVIEW!!! APPROVED& CEAC STATUS :ISSUED!!!!! WOHOOO!! GOD IS GREAT!! THANK U PAPA GOD!

10-26-13 - VISA ON HAND!!!!! HORAAAY!!! THANK YOU PAPA GOD!!!

1-14-14 - POE LAX

I'm assuming you're referring to getting married in the Philippines?

As you are a citizen of the Philippines, you will have to live under Philippines laws there. This means you're going to need a copy of your CENOMAR, or annotated CEMAR showing the termination of any previous marriages.

yes my fiance and I are getting married here in the Philippines.

Ive been residing here more than 6mos since im going to college here.

I have also gotten the cenomar already, but my question is do i still need to get the "Legal capacity of marriage" at the US Embassy Manila since im a US Citizen?

OK 6 months in the Philippines, and I'm not sure how long you lived there before, but you must know by now how the Philippines can be with demands of bribes. Legally all you need is the CENOMAR. But I would not tell the local office where you apply for the marriage license that you're a USC also. You know how corruption is, and suddenly you could get the local Kano fee and run around until you pay it. The Affidavit of Legal Capacity to Marry is for foreigners who cannot get a CENOMAR, because the USA has no central marriage database like the CFO has there. I'm not sure of your age, but may also need the parental permission or advice. At least you won't have to go through the CFO when you're ready to leave.
