im calling from a cellphone but it seems i cant get through.. do i need to buy a phone card ?

You do not need a calling card to call the USA numbers unless you phone service doesn't have long distance included.

I just call the first USA number, it rang immediately... of course at this hour no one answered.

ive been trying to call it but to no avail, my mother in law told me the landline in the house doesnt have a long distance plan, and although i can call the philippines on my cellphone, for some weird reason i cant make the same long distance call within the us. :/ i even called the philippines us embassy number i did get through but i was answered by an answering machine who then asked me to fill up a DS 160 form and it just hung up on me.

so after further research here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305700-k1-us-embassy-manila/ i found out i can call 214-571-1600 using google talk.. it rang..finally..what a miracle..now i have to wait 8 hrs to call it.

thanks vj

mother-in-law? K-1 visa? hmm~

That is all I use is google voice, run it through my OBI... its the only phone in the house, works great for calling the Phils, Canada or anywhere in the USA.
