How long after you sent packet 3 do you get ur interview? Do I have to call in to schedule it or wait?

At the Madrid embassy, you have to wait for them to schedule the interview. Once they receive your packet 3 they will send you a letter (packet 4) with your interview appointment. My interview was about 5 weeks after I sent packet 3, you can look at my timeline to have a better idea.

Hello, my fiance sent the DS230 and the check list from package #3 back to the Madrid embassy. He called them to ask how to get an appoitment and they said to email the embassy. then I called from the US and they told me it will come in the mail in package 4. So I see you are saying they will send it in the mail so that means he just has to wait for it right? I just want to make sure we are doing things right and we dont waist anymore time since this process has already taken 11 months and still not done. I appreciate your help if you can get back to me

Hi Elisan , You just have to wait until they send your appointment in the mail but u can always email them not call. They are very fast at responding one day most and you should get your appt. within 3-5 weeks of sending the forms that you had sent .
