NEW YORK CITY LOCAL OFFICE ?

My wife's I-130 was just approved yesterday (NOA1 Jan 17)!! It was a case that never appeared on the site & I just checked today and jumped for joy!! I did an infopass last week too and was disappointed with the result.

I'm waiting for my step son though whose NOA1 was on Dec 21. Odd, no idea how they process these things. It's clearly not in order.

I will be going on my 3rd INFO PASS on June 3rd... I figure i will show up every month until they decide to approve my case..

Congrats!!! it seems to me that the case never showed up on the sight because it was prob. fwd to NYC field office as soon as it was recv. by MSC. My NOA1 is Dec. 05 but was transferred to NYC on Jan. 30 so techically my NOA1 is Jan. 30. You should call and ask what date your son was transferred to NYC.. Best of luck, I am so happy to hear you got approved and that NYC is moving some cases at least.

Hi, if my spouse is a resident of NYC, Does that mean our case is automatically transferred to NYC field office? It doesnt appear on the USCIS website, when we called the USCIS, the tier2 agent said its taking 5-8 months and said there is no problems with the application thus far. How can I find out where exactly my case is? We filed i130 end of Jan & received NOA around 10th Feb 2013...been waiting for word since then..

I finally got approved !!!! It took 6 month 13 days of waiting 2 info pass and still going to me 3rd one on the 21st. also i sub.3 service request. But I finally got it .. I wish you all the best of luck and the best advice i can give you is don't be patient, contact them by all the means you can and let them know you are tired of waiting

Thank you ... Yes, My case was transferred on Jan. 30th, 2013 and it was assigned to a case worker on May 6th, 2013

Wow. How did u find out when it was assigned to a case worker? They actually give that information out? Cool.

I was told that my case was transferred on March 23, 2013. Damn, i still have a long wait eh.

the dashboard shows 37,000 cases pending for april 2013.
