Can we schedule med apps even before we have an interview date?

I know that for K-1s from the Ukraine, you can do the medical as soon as you have your case number from NVC, but I'm not sure if it's the same for CR-1s. You could call up the doctor and ask. I know for our medical, hubby has to have a copy of the P4 email to turn over to the doctor in order to get the medical done.

Same with us. We have to turn in a copy of the appointment confirmation letter at the medical, AND the form that we fill out requires us to say when the interview is scheduled for.

Rules are different for the Direct Consular Filing crowd.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Just not true I'm afraid. Didn't require either at my medical, nor were either asked for!

How did I get the impression you were a direct consular filer? I need a break from this stuff :D
