I am hoping some one can clarify this for me:

Correct me where I am wrong:

• once I get my MTL case number and do the DS 160 online, I can register and make an acct on the CSC Canada website, this is where I pay the Visa fee for the K-1 visa and will make an appointment for the interview--Correct so far?

• On this website, I will also be arranging for my passport to be returned to me- correct?

What is the difference between the Loomis and DHL registeration? What do I do if I do not see my home town listed on the locations of Loomis??? I am not sure my town has DHL either?

What would I do?

Yes you can register on the site when you have your MTL number but do not schedule an interview until they have sent out packet 4. You will be able to make payment on the site and arrange for the Loomis location where you will receive your passport, and can also send packet 3 free of charge.

Pick the closest Loomis courier.

Loomis and DHL are the same in Canada from what I understand. Loomis is for domestic deliveries, and DHL for international.

I don't think they will mail it to your house. However some people have had success requesting they pick it up at the consulate, but that means waiting around Montreal.

Yes, you can have it sent to your house.

Step 1. Choose the location "nearest you" even if it is quite far away. It is still the one closest to you.

Step 2. Print the page showing that you have selected a location and arranged your Loomis.

Step 3. AFTER your interview and everything is complete, wait for the Loomis location nearest you to receive your passport.

Step 4. Once the passport has arrived arrange for Loomis to send it to you. Yes, there will be a fee which I believe is going to be around $20 or so.

The passport is sent to the Loomis location you choose. HOWEVER, the passport does not come there with the intent of being sent out - it is held there for pickup by the person named on the package or a representative who comes with the right information and permission from you to pick it up. I was notified by email when our passports were picked up by Loomis. Please see below:

Here is some more directly from the CSC site:

An applicant may request that his or her passport be delivered to an address within Canada by following the procedure below.

Step 1: Once the waybill number appears on the Applicant Summary, the applicant has to send an e-mail to csc@loomis-express.com and provide the following information for each applicant:

• Applicant full name (as written in the passport and visa application)
• Applicant reference id (located on the "Applicant Summary" after login in)
• Waybill number
• Daytime phone number
• Full address in Canada (ONLY)
• Special instructions (i.e. leave at reception, leave on 3^rd floor suite 100, etc., additional contact information)

Step 2: Loomis will call applicant within 2 business days to arrange payment. The costs for each shipment will depend on whether the package needs to be shipped within the same province or it is a national shipment.

• Same Province: $17.42 + Taxes
• National: $19.00 + Taxes

Step 3: Once the payment transaction is complete, Loomis will send the documents to the address defined by the applicant at step 1.

NOTE: If the applicant declines charges or Loomis cannot collect the charge, the passport will be delivered to the Loomis location initially selected by the applicant at no cost.

DISCLAIMER:

• Loomis will make two delivery attempts during regular business hours (9:00 -18:00). If the two attempts fail, Loomis will send the passport back to the branch location originally selected.
• Loomis will leave package with anyone who answers the door at the requested address and signs for it.
• Loomis will require the signature of the package and will not leave the document at the address if nobody is there to sign for it.
• If Loomis is unable to deliver the passport after two attempts, but the applicant still requires the passport to be delivered at a specific address, a new service request starting with Step 1 and new transaction payment will be required.
• Documents will be delivered within the next two (2) business days of having completed the payment
• Service fees are nonrefundable.
• This service does not provide for delivery outside of Canada.
