Hi everyone. My husband has been under AP since October of 2012 and he is in Pakistan. But today I received an email from the USICS office. I am copy and pasting everything that was said. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a good thing or bad? I'm so freaked out right now, I really don't want to give up my hopes and then have them crashed.

As I read this it looks like the case was sent back to the US and was just received at the California Service Center. They will review it and decide if they will reaffirm your case and send it back to the embassy, or if they decide they need more information before deciding to revoke. I believe this means the AP is done for now and it was sent back to the US as a potential denial from Pakistan. This is just my take on the letter though. Hopefully someone that received a letter like this before can confirm or deny.

I wish you the best of luck either way. I know it can be difficult, but try to stay strong star_smile.gif

I checked my case status at the embassy this morning and it says it is still under AP. I haven't received any news from the embassy to date. The email from USCIS is the first news I have heard in a long time.

But it doesn't state if the case has been denied. I got an email from the embassy yesterday and they said the case is still under AP. I don't get how the case is under AP if its back in the states and if it was denied wouldn't they just tell me? From what I am reading from other members on the board if they had their case denied the Embassy had informed them and they had to wait on the USCIS. My case seems to be the opposite, to me at least. Maybe I'm just reaching and hoping for a good outlook.

I have contacted my local Congressman. I went to his office three weeks ago and spoke with his Immigration specialist and he said that within a month he would contact me. I'm wondering if their inquiry had anything to do with the USCIS contacting us?
