Tourist visa multiple entries

My wife and I will be returning to the Philippines in September . I will only be staying a week then come back to work I will return for Christmas come back to work after the new year. She will not return till march. If she likes it she will be packing everything up to move over there permanately now for the questions

1) how hard would it be to get a tourist visa for her mom to come back in march because we need second adult for the kids but also so she will have help packing?

2) we expect the packing to take two months as we hope to be ready the first of may so her visa needs to be good for at least 60 days preferable 90 days

3) is there a way to apply straight out for a multiple entry visa as the states may become our vacation site so my parents can see the kids

4) my wife is afraid of applying for her moms visa to early saying it is only good for six months I am worried about putting it off to long and her mom not being able to come to states with her

5) is there anything we did not think of or something that may help us?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

i can only speak based on my own experience. you may wait for the others that may have expertise on this.

but as for my parents, they were issued multiple entry visas for 10 years even if they didnt ask for it and they only applied for a tourist visa to visit my brother for a couple of weeks.

i think it is dependent on how you convince the CO that the person applying has established economic and social ties. meaning he or she has a reason to go back and wont overstay a visa.

i was issued a multiple entry visa too when i applied to visit my brother in 2010. I am the fiancee beneficiary btw:)

anyways, you can go ahead and apply your mom because if she gets denied, she can reapply after 6 months or so....

best of luck!
