I was wondering... I just saw my fiance and brought a certified copy of my birth certificate to him. However, it is not the one I made a copy of for the I129F application. Is this ok that he has this official copy, or will they want the original of the one I sent them a copy of originally?

Also, I have also received a letter from my work stating that I work for them, blah blah blah. Does it need to be notorized or no? I gave it to him unnotarized.

Thanks again!

The only form that needs notarizing is the I-134 form, the supporting financial evidence dose not need to be notarized. Supporting financial evidence should include the employer letter, and copies of tax returns, Tax transcripts are better.

They wont have a problem with either birth certificate, they are more interested in your fiance's birth certificate at the visa interview.

You may want to look at the FAQ section here on VJ.
