Hi-

Has anyone recently been interviewed fro citizenship at Newark NJ office? I wanted to know if they have same day oath ceremony or not.

My citizenship interview is at 1:00pm on 4/30 and I heard that any interview after 12pm are required to come next day for oath ceremony.

Is that true?

Thanks

You probably won't be allowed in. The guy in front of me was 4 hours early.... and they sent him away.

I wouldn't attempt going more than 30-60 minutes early for the interview. It's one thing to do it for biometrics and a whole different story for the actual interview. It seem that most people actually end up waiting longer than their scheduled time.

I had my interview there today. I was scheduled at 8:30 (arrived around 8:15) but they took me in at 9:10.

There was a girl sitting next to me (studying the civics book) who had been there before I arrived and I was called before her, when I got out she was still waiting to be called. She was called around 11:00, I know this because I was waiting for the Oath to take place.

I assume she arrived really early and just had to wait for her time, if not she should have been called before me.

The Oath took place at around 11:45 and then I was out.
