I should be having my interview around july/august time. I have Tax Transcript for 2011.

The London US Embassy financial documents page states that financial documents are valid for a year. Does this mean that i should be fine using the 2011 Tax Transcript in july/august?

Thanks for your answers

The last thing you want is to be told at the interview that you need another document... why not get the 2012 transcripts and send them?

My sponsor hasn't filed 2012 yet. Will form 4868 6 month tax filing extension plus the 2011 tax transcripts be enough?

Can you get a letter from your employer stating you job, salary, etc? And show some current pay stubs?

I have managed to get the taxes done, and will be sending my complete Form 1040 for 2012. Would you be so kind to tell me if this will be sufficient? I do know the London Embassy website asks for 2 pieces of evidence however it looks like people get approved with just the return.

Thanks Nich- Nick for your response

Yes, they will probably approve with just the tax return. Make sure to send the schedules too like Schedule C, SE, etc. How about some bank statements showing where that self employed income gets deposited since you don't get w2s. If you get 1099s as a sub contractor, that works too. Any savings or investment accounts??

Just ask yourself how you could best show a stranger you have a good income.

Thanks Nich-Nick. I have included all the schedules, I don't have any other evidence likes that to provide but i suppose the tax returns and schedules should do?
