Hello, my questions are the following: :help:

> On april 9,2013 we came to the US (chicago) because my mom petitioned us via F2A.

When we got there in Chicago Airport they said to just wait for our greencards.

I came with my bro (18y/o) and my sister (16y/o) and my self (20 turning 21 y/o this coming june 11..

On april 16,2013 we went to apply for our SSN at SSA office. We recieved a receipt and she said we should keep it. We have to wait till 4weeks till we get the SSN but normally it will only take 7-10days of processing. The thing is I needed a job so I need my SSN asap.. Do you think i could ask for the SSN even if i didnt have the SSN card yet?

How long till we get our Greencard mailed to us? I read on some researched i did that my sister who is 16 year old dont have to wait for her greencard because she automatically becomes a US citizen because our mom is a USC already.

But my bro n I will have to wait for the GC? Hoping for someone to enlighten me. Thank you so much!!

What does my sister need to file for her citizenship? What about me and bro, how long till we become a US citizen? Thank u so much!' :(

Also, when we got in the airport they stamp our passport with an A# and also put IR2.what does this mean?.

USC Children are categorized under IR-2:

under 18 years old automatically acquire U.S. citizenship upon entry to the United States if they reside in the United States with their parents (U.S. government or military personnel residing overseas may qualify as residing in the U.S.).

over 18 years old become permanent residents and receive a green card.

Children with IR-2 visas who did not automatically acquire U.S. citizenship can apply for naturalization when eligible.
