I am having problems because USCIS-DHS does not like to send approval notices.

My wife's EAD was approved 01/24/06 and still no approval letter.

I made an infopass appointment for tomorrow.

My stepson never received his original biometrics letter for his 485 so I had to contact a Congressman.

Finally, I received his biometrics letter 2 months late.

The Congressman's office contacted immigration about my wife's EAD approval notice.

They told him I may have to reapply and pay another $180.00.

SHE WAS APPROVED 01/24/06

My stepson had his fingerprints taken about 3 weeks ago and now he has to reappear on Monday to have a second set of prints done for his EAD.

His mother's fingerprints were taken back in November.

The only thing that worked out timely was the I-131.

It looks like the AOS interview may not take place until 12/06 because the Baltimore Office is so backed up.

How do you deal with the stress? Some days I feel like giving up.
