Thanks for the help, she's going to stay the bulk of the 90 days so I hope that's ok with them and she gets a nice CBP officer!

I'm curious though when you say proof of ties, like I said, she obviously will go back for the green card interview etc, she would never over stay, but she doesn't have a job, nor property, etc etc...should she show proof that she has applied for I-130 and proof of our marriage and things like that?

Thanks again for the help!

I think if your Taiwanese wife has a return ticket , and gives her parents address as her permanent address (she does not have to say it is her parents, she probaby just has to say, here is my address in my home country), I would think she would be allowed into USA. Every time I went to see my Canadian husband they always asked me my home address, and when I would say it automatically, they would just let me pass. I went to Canada many times to see my husband when I was not employed in the USA. I guess it could be different for USA/ Canada; but really it does depend on the guard at the border...many times they would want to talk a bit and joke before letting me thru and I just played along. Other guards dont even look you in the face and only ask 'what is your purpose here', and stamp the passport and thats the end of that! If she gets one of those uninterested types, she could say she is visiting family...they may ask the USA address...but then let her thru. Its not lying...a spouse is family.

CBSA is easier than CBP generally speaking. My husband never was asked more than 1-2 questions when visiting me in Canada but I had to explain in detail how we met when I was visiting him at one point.

I am Canadian citizen married to a US citizien. Husband filed the I-130 Jul 24 2013. I plan on going to visit him in 3 weeks time. I do have a job here in Canada, but I don' have a rental agrrement or such as I moved in with my mother. I have been travelling back and forth to the US to visit him about once a month(never stay for more than 2 weeks) for the past 4 years never had any problems. With only my job as a tie to Canada, will they give me a hard time?

I am a Canadian Citizen married to a USC and live in Canada and my wife recently made I-130 application in California. I have crossed the Blaine boarder to US several times before the I-130 was submitted and once after the I-130 was submitted. The official at the POE asked to see my passport and usual questions, he did not ask anything about pending I-130 (CR-1) and I did not mention anything either, although I had employent letter, letter from Landlord, bank statements etc. just in case they required. I got thru without and problem. I can't guess if the official knew anything about pending I-130 (CR-1). Be honest and carry proof of your ties to your country and do not volunteer any infomation. May be it has got lot to do with which country you are citizen of. Goodluck.
