Visit Dates

I just realized that the permission papers that I got from my rental landlord for my Fiancee to stay here with me in 2010 and 2012.. the one for 2010 is off about an extra two weeks and so is our letter of intent dates we put the one was 1 day off coming and going. We forgot that you dont add the dates he is flying but that he is actually here.. and then in 2010 his flight home was cancelled at the airport cos of a volcano eruption over Iceland which delayed his departure so his visit was extended about 2 weeks past the date the papers I have for his visit times. It was an emergency stay. We are allowed an overnight visit to be no more than 30 days so it was an exception. Will they see this and ask for a correction or should I notify them of the error? I just caught it today.

Edit: If I am confusing in how I wrote this I apologize. Im anxious about needing to correct it. Im sure it will be something that USCIS will put as a Request for Evidence?! Which I can get the corrected proof.

I'm not quite sure where the issue is stemming from. For the K-1 Visa, the requirement is that you met at least one time within the 2 years prior to you filing the I-129F form. As long as there was no illegal overstaying on his part, and you've given evidence the two of you have actually met within that time frame, there shouldn't be a problem IMO. Maybe someone else can see where there may be an issue that I'm not seeing.

The papers we provided as proof he was here were from my office where I rent from. The request forms go in their file as they require as a tenant we request permission for over night visits. The dates on the 2010 were different than what we put on our letter introducing ourselves, etc. I think it is okay since as you stated we just need proof we have met. If they need a correction then I will wait till they ask and provide it for them. I panic at first when I see a mistake!! Its going to be like this till we are married.. but I will take a deep breath and not worry so much. VJ is such a big help to have people who have been through what we going through and have someone to ask and talk to. Thank you !!

Anything in 2010 would be over 2 years and will be ignored by USCIS. Anything older than that doesn't fit into the 2 year timeframe for which they require you having met. The 2012 meeting, will fill this category for you as long as you have the required evidence.
