Congratulations on your approval!

Please read this guide, if you haven't already. The guide emphasizes being proactive...especially during the NVC stage. Highly recommend that.

Hope this helps you some. Good luck with your journey!

Hi everyone :)

1. A month is about normal from approval to the NVC generated the numbers you need to send the forms and pay the fees (~2 weeks for NVC to receive the files and ~2 weeks to generate the numbers). If your case went to a local office, apparently it will probably take longer for NVC to receive it.

2. All correspondence will go to whomever is designated the "Agent" through the DS-3032 form (which you can do by e-mail instead of the form), so if you are the Agent, you will receive the information and links to the forms. You don't have to wait to *receive* anything - just go online and print the forms! What you have to wait for are the cover sheets with the bar code - these are generated when you pay your fees online through the Payment Portal, then you print them to send with your forms and documents. You can log on to the Payment Portal as soon as you have your NVC Case Number and your Invoice Identification Number (get those faster by calling NVC). The Affidavit of Support fee becomes available to pay fairly quickly (a couple of days after your numbers are generated) but the IV fee does not become available to pay until they have accepted your Choice of Agent.

In the spouse forum, there is a very active NVC thread (they are of course mostly spouses but a few other types of applicants pop in there too). GREAT resources in the first two posts on that thread. It is updated every month.
