In 2010 I married a Filipina in the USA after I petitioned her on a K-1 visa to come to the Philippines. We since split and have a pending divorce. But I am entertaining the idea of going to a different country to meet a girl that I really like. If all goes well we take things to the next level after my divorce, would it be possible then to petition a new fiance on a K-1? What are the rules regarding divorce and petitioning again? I definitely think you shouldn't be punished and not allowed to it again. You want to fall in love again, and be able to petition if need be. Some things that happen are beyond your own control :/

There are no rules on divorce and petitioning again. There are rules on qualifying to petition for someone and how many K-1 petitions you can file within a certain amount of years. These are stated in the instructions for the I-129F. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf
