i-864 Wihout Tax Returns

I am on SSDI at a level where I neither have to pay taxes nor file a return and have been there for four years-I have all of the award letters and statements. I also have auxiliary benefits for my one-year old daughter. However, the total amount is above the required 125% poverty level. With all of that in mind:

1. Has anyone been in a similar situation where they needed to write a letter stating why they do not have to file? I have the IRS printout detailing their policy and plan to include it with my letter and i-864?

2. Has anybody filed the i-864 with auxiliary benefits for a minor?

Under section 25 on page 8 it talks about writing a letter about why you were not required to file.

What is harder to answer is the question if you can count SSDI as income for the 864 or not. That one I don't know as it may or may not be counted as means-tested public benefits income which can not be counted toward income Per the top of page 3.
