hi guys..NVC requires my wife USC 2011 tax returns and now she did back file her tax for 2011 but for 2010 the place she worked could not find her w2,then the tax person asked her to call IRS for it.my question is will not paying for 2010 affect us ? NVC needs only 2011 and she have it ...will they ask for 2010 at embassy ? she have limited time to get the w2 in the state because she is flying back this week.

your help is appreciated

No you have to have last three years filled irs required regardless if you choose to send in last 3 years or current year.

You will notice on the I-864 form you are required to give last 3 years income. So she needs to file. Sorry

You don't have to send in the last 3 years tax transcripts (which Lagos wants to see by the way not tax forms) but you still have had to file or show an extension of filing.

Hello,

Tell your wife to call IRS and request for a transcript of her 2010 tax return and W2s which is free, and I think the original copy cost a few box. if she has a fax machine at home or knows anyone who does, IRS can also fax it to her immediately but will not do so on a public fax machine for security purpose. GOOGLUCK!!!
