Hi friends,

My Cr1 visa petition is on Ap from 13 December 2012 after 221(g) documentation. I had already submitted the copy of my voter id card( with past 5 years of my voter id card details ) in embassy my election card is issued with my father's name. But my friends say that your husband's name should be in any of Government id---like passport, driving licence, voter card.which i don't have all are issued with my father's name.

I just want to know if i go for adding my husband name in my election card will embassy take any objection? And after adding my husband name is it compulsory to send all details to embassy. pls advise me.

You don't have to do it...

If you are married after you got your voter ID card, then you have to have your father name there.

OR You must have submitted your old card, that is still ok.

Voter ID card goes with the voting list of last 5 years, I believe that you are good, not to worry.
