Hello

My girlfriend (a Chinese citizen) lived in Australia (Perth) for two years to study for her master's degree. Now, she is back in China (where we met). My question is how can she get a police certificate from Australia, when she is not a citizen of Australia, nor is she currently living there.

I am really worried about this, because this can really mess up our whole visa process. :( Any advice, thoughts, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From the Western Australia Police site:

"The WA Police do not process applications for a National Police Certificate from persons who reside overseas or interstate. In these circumstances, applicants from overseas must apply to the Australian Federal Police (AFP), further information and an application form can be obtained on the AFP Website, while interstate applicants must apply through the respective state's police. "

We wouldn't of got through to where we are in this process if it were not for the wonderful advice from the people on VJ. Just trying to do my bit. :yes:
