Hello...sure glad i found this board. My fiancee and i am starting the process of getting out petition for a k1 visa. I'm just a bit confused. In the sample forms section I see the following forms listed...

USCIS Form I-129F

USCIS Form G-325A

USCIS Form I-134

Form DS-156

Form DS-156K

Form DS-157

Form DS-158

Form DS-230

Are all these required at the time of initial filing? I was under the belief that all i needed was the I-129F, G325A the letters of intent, the proof, and the filing fee...am i wrong? Do i need to file all these?

thanks

Initial filing requires only I-129F, and G-325A from both US citizen, and foreign finance.

tommyesq,

Read the VJ Guides and Visa FAQ. Also the DoS web site has good pages on immigration. (USCIS used to, but I'm not sure if they're still there on the re-designed web site.)

Go through the check list and make sure you have collected EVERYTHING.

Also... it won't hurt to send more evidences about relationship and finance in.

Good Morning to all!

Nebraska signed for my I-129F yesterday morning around 7:30ish... lets see:

I-129F

G-325A X 2

(so... how did your significant other sign it? or did you take it with you months ago last time you saw him/her?)

plus, the I-134 for a little extra fun. Hope it does actually help.

With the following evidence:

Ticket stub scans, USA to Colombia X 3 trips

Plus E-ticket receipt for trip#4 in December... two months of bliss coming soon!

Hotel receipt scans from Bogotá, Cartagena, Bucaramanga... luckily on one of them instead of having to highlight just "2 adultos" I got to highlight our last names.

Movie ticket receipt scans... DaVinci Code, "Soñar No Cuesta Nada"... nice to see in good company.

The obvious I-134 evidence requested.

About 5 pages worth of pictures packaged onto each sheet... some ~35 pics of us together and with family between the beach, restaurants, home, etc... with handwritten notes on where they are and what trip.

In all the envelope was actually a bit heavy, but not too much. I even printed out my bank history with ATM evidence withdrawals over the last year... 3 trips add up.

Here's hoping the timeline reduces drastically over the next few weeks and we get the miracle of having the packets 3 and 4 delivered while I'm actually living with her early next year down in Colombia.

We probably won't get that lucky... but like the movie I listed above... "Soñar No Cuesta Nada"!!

(Dreaming doesn't cost a thing)

Happy to have found this site!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
