OK so my son is in the Philippines with his wife right now. I am doing all the paperwork for the Affidavit of Support 864 Form as I will be the Co-Sponsor for his wife.

I know he also has to fill out an 864 as he is the sponsor for his wife.

My question is can I email him the 864 Form to sign and have him email or fax it back to me? It is really hard to get mail to the part of the Philippines where they live.

That is why I am doing all the paperwork here in the US. Will the NVC except the 864 form he signs and emails a copy back to me or does it have to be an original inked signature?

I hope this question makes sense and someone knows if this will work.

Thanks in advance.

It needs an original signature.
