hi, i filed for n400 in nov 2012, with the priority date of 11/15/2012 and the fingerprinting was completed on 12/14/12 and was place in line for interview. I am still waiting and have not got any update yet. I am from Chicago DO and understand it is very slow compared to others, but it has almost been 2.5 months now and really worried and confused about the process.

My application is very simple, been at the same address and job for last 5 years with very minimum overseas travel. so not sure what to do?

should i do the infopass appointment or wait for 90 days as they recommend it.

please advise and thanks in advance.

I also wanted to add that i and wife applied at the same time, different packages. she got the yellow letter to get DL, on 02/05 but the status still not changed for both of us.

Does getting YL mean anything, or its just a standard process.

really confused and worried and some guidance would really help to calm me down.

yellow letter doesn't mean anything. I also received one asking for DL and they never did at the interview.

Chicago is pretty slow, be patient and in a a meantime just check September, October, November Filers topics. Maybe you can find there somebody from Chicago to compare the timeline.

thanks for the reply. this wait is agonizing.

lets my 90 day is march 14th, can i schedule infopass proactively for mar 15th, and then cancel it if i get the interview scheduled notice before then?

what are the documents do i need take with me to infopass appointment?
