Good Morning- I am writing to you feeling hopeless this afternoon. My husband and I love love each other. We have a great relationship. The problem: He is an Indian Muslim Citizen trying to get to his love in USA but of course, once he went to the interview, and after a very quick 5 minute random questions, the officer did not want to see the evidence and pulled the 221G white form which asks for more evidence of our marriage. The list is pretty simple and he had most of the information that day. The officer told him he was being asked to submit those documents at a drop off courier service ,then they will let him know his fate!

I have been reading horrible stories about the 221 G journey.. and the fact that we are both muslims ( I am a revert ) he is born muslim.. gives me no hope at this point.

Any other experiences. He was interviewed in New Dehli, India

Our classification of our case is CR-1 we have been married a little bit over a year. I have been in India 3 times ( I am a teacher so I can only travel 2 times a year ).

we met in March 2011 - online network

We physically met in July 2011 - New Dehli

I traveled again in Dec. 2011- got married

I traveled again in June 2012- for his brother's marriage ( spent almost two months there )

We had only submitted a few pictures and certificate of marriage with the I-130. But my husband showed up with photo album, phone logs ( we call each other daily 2-3 times a day ), facebook chat ( mostly 2011 chats but we communicate on facebook daily too ).

The officer sort of looked at the album.. he questioned my husband of why no one from my family did not attend the wedding.. ( my elderly parents cannot travel, my only sister works ).

Then he simply pulled out the 221G white form which asks for more evidence such as

1- photos, phone logs

2-list of wedding guests, telephone numbers, addresses, relationship to us

3- wedding invitation sample

4-his voting ID pin and the voting lists of 5 years

5-jointed bank accounts

6-if we have children, their birth certificate ( we do not have children- we just got married a yr ago )

everything is listed we have except one item which will be provided in the next 3 days to him.

He was giving back his birth certificate and the original certificate of marriage..they kept everything else... including the photo album.. ( but did not want to see phone logs, facebook chats, etc..)

The officer it was not for him to see anymore.. and sent my husband off with the 221g letter

I heard CR1 are difficult to deny.. please tell me there is hope...

Yes, there is hope! They issued 221g for more docs for further review. Please prepare your package with bunch of evidence. That is very much important.

There is lot of hope here.

We were in similar situation during interview.... were given 221g to submit all documents to VFS, (even though she was carrying it with her).

Before interview, VFS told her to take it to Embassy and Embassy at the interview told her to submit all to VFS.

We have submitted all of it in one package in 2-3 weeks to VFS, we were issued visa in 4 weeks later.

Good luck

Submit as much as documents which all are enough to prove your relationship and you can get affidavits from the parents and the family members stated the reason why they din't attend the marriage but they know about your marriage and you people love each other,if you public ally announced your marriage(in news paper)so you can submit the news paper to embassy with other important documents.Best of Luck.
