Once your wife has received the email from NVC you can schedule the date for the interview yourself.

Hi Carlos: Yes, I received an email as the agent for my wife, and she also received an email as the beneficiary. They will send her an email for sure and if you are her agent, they will send you an email as well. The CR-1 and IR-1 visas are different than the K-1s in that the Embassy schedules the interview for you, you do not get a choice in dates. I suppose you try to reschedule after they give you the date. We got the email 15 days or so after case complete at NVC which had a letter attached stating the interview had been scheduled and it provided further instructions.

Thanks man, we are stoked, about to buy a plane ticket tonight for her arrival in March! Visa and Passport in hand today!!

Hi Peter: Yes, you should provide both of your emails to NVC and they will email you as the agent and your wife as beneficiary with all correspondence. I liked it that way so I got the correspondence directly since I was doing all the leg work and reviewing everything. My wife got a copy as well. It took about 2 weeks for them to complete my case at NVC once I mailed the DS-230 package and another 3 weeks to get the letter with the interview date. It moved very quickly, I was pleased with them.

You're welcome,

Orando

Once your wife has received the email from NVC you can schedule the date for the interview yourself.

The CR-1 and IR-1 are slightly different in that the Embassy schedules the interview at their discretion. I suppose people could always try to reschedule. We were mandated an interview date. I would have preferred a Friday interview date however, we were stuck with a Wednesday interview date.

Hi Orando, once NVC complete my case, it take about 3 weeks to schedule my wife interview or my wife interview will be about 3 weeks later once NVC complete my case... I just wondering how long I need to wait ...thank u so much for ur time.....

Hi Peter: About three weeks to have the interview scheduled and they will schedule the interview a month or so later. Maybe 2 months total from NVC case complete to interview date if they move quickly like they did on my case. Our NVC case complete was 11/27/2012 and the interview date was 01/23/2013, 56 days for us from NVC case complete to the interview date. Orando
