Hi all! As I was reading some post in VJ I see this post about A number(http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/415103-alien-number-on-noa2-hardcopy/).

He say his alien number was changed in the NOA2 copy. So I remember the Alien number changed in the status in that I encounter before.

That people here in VJ is only a glitch. So now I am worried because I receive RFE(passport photo).

In the instruction it say write name and A number on the back. So what I did was write my name and my old A number.

after reading the post above I was thinking where my new A number if they changed it. so I check the RFE letter again and I see there is a new A number.

Please help I'm worried my petition about this. Anyone here know what will happen to my petition?

If you put the old(first) A number on the back of picture as you mentioned in your first post, then no ned to do anything. IT's not critical but I do understand your concern. The picture(and name) is most important. The A number just makes it easier on the USCIS folks, especially if they misplace it. We're all just a bunch of numbers at USCIS anyways(case file number, ss number, A number etc).

Personally I'd suggest you just keep an eye on your case status online, see when it updates.

You can also call them up (the phone number is on your NOA) and ask if they have received your RFE response and when it was received. Wait around a week to do that. When calling, you can just not press anything, wait until someone says something in Spanish and then you ask for an English speaking operator. Call in the morning if possible - less waiting.

Tier one operators can't see anything more than you so if your tier 1 operator seems clueless, ask to be transferred to a tier 2 operator/human.

I realize my reply is more than what you asked for but at least you're aware how to go about the calling-USCIS-survival-kit.

I know it's not critical. It's just a small mistake if they really changed my(USC petitioner) alien number.

I'm just scared because I don't want to get denied again and start all over again.

Thanks again for the reply.
