So, my fiance and I applied for the K-1 Fiance Visa in December. We are both unemployed in England at the moment and I would like to go back to the States to start working ( I can get my old job back right away). We are now thinking of having him come as well for 2 months, while we wait to hear about the visa. Jobs are non existent in England and we feel he is better off networking and spending time in his *hopefully* soon to be new country. Would it look bad on his part for doing this? After all, he has 90 days to stay using his passport. No point in wasting time here in dreary grey England!

No not at all, he'd be fine doing this. Bring his NOA1 with you, to show you want to do things the legal way.

grrr I just spoke with someone on the phone from the UK/USA Embassy and he said that by my fiance visiting the states for 2 months, it may jeopardise his chances for his visa. He did tell me to call another number, which I did, but they are too busy at the moment! He has every right to leave England, as long as its not over 90 days right? He is unemployed and there is NO work here at the moment. Does he really have to sit and wait for a response? :help:

Maybe he missunderstood what you were asking?

The only way it would jeopardise his visa s if he missed the interview appointment, but you are nowhere near that.

ok, finally spoke with someone. She did say to bring along evidence to prove that he is not intending to work over in the states, and he is just on holiday and looking for future prospects of work. Maybe 2 months is too long? Shall he stay a month? We feel like any time spent there is better than waiting here, especially since he has been unemployed since July 2012! Its a risk we have to take I guess!
