Can anybody recommend a reputable company that helps with cheap airfare? My fiancee wants help but I am not familiar with the Philippine air system and what would be the cheapest way to travel. Please help me.

I had a friend who flew to states thru delta airlines.. the fare was cheap. But i just want to let you know.. a round trip fare is more cheaper than the one way trip.

I don't think Philippine air travel is much different than any other airline system (except for additional taxes). You know you can buy tickets for her right? She doesn't have to buy them in the Philippines...

Read stuff like this first

http://www.wikihow.com/Buy-Cheap-Airline-Tickets

http://www.independenttraveler.com/travel-tips/air-travel/tips-for-finding-cheap-airfare

http://lifehacker.com/5073437/five-best-travel-sites-for-cheap-tickets

Then search for prices like...

kayak.com

orbitz.com

yapta.com

http://www.bing.com/travel

etc

Find cheapest flight, then book directly with airline (my personal recommendation. when booking directly it's much easier to get seating, problem resolution/assistance, changes reschedules, etc etc)

Not cheap enough? Willing to put up with a lot more travel restrictions or penalties for changes? Try a consolidator...

http://www.airlineconsolidator.com/

And if you're really desperate, you can try for standby tickets...(not recommended due to scarcity/difficulty)

Sometimes...not always. Just booked a flight with Delta. Round trip was not cheaper at all.

I am not sure if PAl has their special immigrant one way fare to the US still yet. I just sent my wife the money, and she went to the local PAl office in the Laoag airport. She showed the manager the proof of immigration, and he booked the flight for her from Laoag to Manila and then to Honolulu. Of course I am not sure how much more it would cost to add another flight to the mainland though with another carrier.

You could also try and fly with miles. I signed up for UNITED Miliage plus card and got 50K miles up front. I think they are offering 30K right now. They also have earning programs where you can attach your debit cards to their system and if you spend at their partners you earn miles.

My trip in late April was made with Miles. 65K miles round trip from ELP to MNL and back.

I booked a flight and paid almost 1000$. Not sure if that is cheap or not, but none-the-less it's done with one stop in the US. So I'm happy with that.

If you're near Charlotte(assuming from your profile), that's probably as good as it gets most times. Flights from Manila to Atlanta are about the same.

I flew United airlines for about 1,200 with taxes included Sept 2012 to the Philippine . Recently I saw a ticket with United for under $1000 , but gone now . As far Philippines air we flew them from within the Philippines and I loved the airlines . Only problem I had with them was that I booked tickets from Tacloban to Manila and it was on AirPhil Express even though booked with Philair . Some of the airports are very small and not knowing that we almost missed our flight . I also heard that Phil air can cause issues with bags being accept (carry on) at one location and in the U.S.A can give you problems about the weight of the bags . Did not experience that although I was within and not out of the Philippines .

Ticket costs is a problem for myself as well , but really not much you can do . I know there is Eva Air and others , but being in Orlando not all those airlines fly to my location . I thought about getting tickets from the online travel sites , but always afraid that when at the airport there would be some problem and be bumped off my flight . I will always go for the direct approach and get my tickets from the airlines .

When the time comes to bring my fiancee here I intend to call the airlines directly and explain the situation and see what they can do for me . Couldn't hurt to try right ?

Goodluck on your journey !
