NBC -- lack of info

Many of you, like myself, have cases pending that were transferred to the NBC, and I think it is very unfair that they do not list processing times for our cases! How would we know when to request for status update? (I believe it is called something of that sort) I called the USCIS just now, and this lady was just saying how we just have to go in the range of (well for me) a normal i-130, that could take 5-7 months and sometimes, up to 8, she told me. She also told me that we won't know until they contact us and that they themselves wouldn't know either.

They really shouldn't make us guesstimestimate of when we MAYBE get our NO2. What happens when it goes to 9 months, and they'll still not know, since that center typically doesn't help with those cases?!

This is really unorganized, I feel.

Is there anything we can do?
