Birth Certificate...

I know the I-129F instructions say to send a copy of the front AND back of the petitioner's birth certificate, and I did read on here the suggestion of mentioning that in the case of the back being blank, to either copy it or just to write a note explaining that... but when it came to putting ours together, we managed to totally forget that part. We sent a photocopy of the front of the birth certificate, but made no mention of the back whatsoever.

So... are we guaranteed to get an RFE now? Or just semi-likely to get one? Or have other people just sent a copy of the front and not had any trouble?

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

featherB,

If the back of your birth certificate is blank, you did send a copy of the front and back.

I'd say the odds are you won't get an RFE, but I can't guarantee that.

The back of my BC had serial number so I copied it though it looked pretty strange, just a blank page with a number on it. Approval with no RFE.

Thank you both... I'm hoping it'll be okay, as it's not as though we're actually 'missing' anything... I'm just kicking myself that we didn't remember the 'front AND back' part when it came to sending everything off. Still, I'm sure if I wasn't worrying about this, I'd find something else to be fretting about!
