HI All,

I filed N400 on 2nd week of September and finally I have been scheduled for interview and I am waiting for interview letter. I am married about a year ago and petition for my wife ( I-130) is currently pending at CSC. While filling N400, I had mentioned about my wife's pending petition on part 8 line A to G . I have went through other posts where people have posted whether they need to take some documents which shows strong ongoing marital relationship ( combined bank account, car lease, apartment lease, etc). Since she is not here, I don't have anything like that except marriage certificate, photos, chat logs and air travel ticket to back home after marriage. Will IO ask me about proof of strong on-going marital relationship? will these documents sufficient for IO or they need some more documents?

I will really appreciate yours feedback in these matter.

Thanks

You certainly aren't applying for the 3 year, haven't been married long enough. So must be applying for the 5 year where none of that marriage stuff is necessary. Other question is, how did you come here? Could be more complications.

Hi NickD

I appreciate your response on my query. I came late 2007 on DV lottery Visa. Does this bring any complications? I will still take my marriage certificate, few photos and air travel ticket after marriage. I dont know whether I need to take those or not or I need even more documents to convince IO that I have strong on going marital relationship with my wife?

Thanks

So the lottery is how you came here, and waited five years to become a US citizen. You will have to specify your marriage on the N-400 as part of your marital history, but that should be it.

Should just need your N-400 application, check, two passport photos, and a copy of your green card. Hopefully you are traffic ticket free, some IO's are getting nasty on this issue to bring proof in you paid your fines. If a good citizen, should have no problems, like a ten minute interview.

Good luck. Hopefully with US citizenship, you can bring your wife here sooner, study your civics test.

Hi NickD

Thank you so much for your response. Finally Interview letter is in Hand. I am crossing my finger for same day interview :) Unfortunately I do have speeding ticket, but the case went to circuit court for hearing and Judge dismissed my case and I was not ordered not to pay fine. It still shows up in my record and I still have court clearance letter with me. Hope IO will not create any mess with this case. I hope my wife will be here very soon. I am dying to see my girl here.

I really appreciate your all feedback
