Has anyone watched recent immigration reform. I really like Obama's speech, but my only concern is the load that it will add to processing centers. What are you guys thoughts on this? Lately, a lot of backlogs in immigration systems for legal immigrants.

Has anyone watched recent immigration reform. I really like Obama's speech, but my only concern is the load that it will add to processing centers. What are you guys thoughts on this? Lately, a lot of backlogs in immigration systems for legal immigrants.

As they say, the devil will be in the details. One element being proposed is that they take steps to eliminate the backlog of pending visa applications as part of immigration reform. So those of us getting started here on VJ may find much to cheer in a new bill! :D

Yeah I saw that. It's my understanding one of the bill is to improve legal immigration system by making it faster for USC to bring their family to be with them without having to wait years. But that leads to the question what about the ones that are already here if one processing center is processing both cases? I'm sure everyone wants to be "done" with USCIS.
