I have seen in other forums where Filipinas call refer to there fiances as husbands. That I am sure why she is referring to him as her husband if they are engaged.

hello every one! my husband is going to the U.S tomorrow at 8 am (philippines) i am so mixed emotion right now. im happy because i know it's for my son's future but super sad as well because im going to miss my husband so much. like what i've aske before how long will it take for him to bring me and my son there? he is an immigrant and may i ask if he needs to be a citizen before he can apply for a petition or just being a gc holder is enough? and what kind of visa should we apply for? looking forward to your answers :) thank you all.

In my opinion, he gets his green card in a month or so, he can come back, you guys get married then he can file a petition for you.
