As long as he does not live in Hawaii or Alaska you meet based on the website link I will provide. Just barely you meet if you say his 2k monthly is 2k or 24k annuallyis gross. If net or take home then he is well over the limit. Follow this link and download the PDF. Unless he met this in 2012 he will need to provide letter from employer, check stubs & bank statements etc for you to show them at your interview he is earning enough.

Good Luck. Here is the link http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=73c63591ec04d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD

As long as he can verify his income and it is above the requirement for the household of 3, you should not need a co-sponsor. From what I've read on this site, co-sponsors are not usually accepted for K1 at the US Embassy Manila, but I guess to have it as a backup would not hurt to try. As far as the taxes are concerned, he can either go to an accountant or tax service, like H&R Block or even file his own taxes with an online tax software such as Turbotax.

I hope this helps

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.
