Hi All,

Recent I-129F filer here.

I've been looking over user timelines to try and gauge our wait times. I've noticed that with UK filers, the biggest difference between the quick turnarounds and the longer ones seem to be between receiving and sending packet #3. Some do it in a day, others 3-4 months.

This is the medical/police/financials/etc packet right? Is it safe to say that the best way to get through this stage quickly is to have all of our documents and vaccinations at the ready ahead of time, or do we have to wait and get the medical/police/etc after receiving the NOA2 so that they're more current?

Is there some other delay that I'm missing/ misunderstanding with the timelines? I want to make sure the only waiting taking place is us on the government, not the other way around :)

Thanks all for your sharing wisdom on this topic, this website is amazing.

Yes that can be one of the delays you have control over--being prepared for your London part ahead of time. There is a lot of London information in this thread in the UK forum. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

Start reading from the beginning and work your way through it while you await NOA2.

The medical exam will follow NOA2, NVC, and packet 3. "Packet 3" isnt a packet and is explained in post #6 of that thread. There is a copy of it in Post #18.

This is what im thinking! Im going to apply for my CRB police cert thingy in the next couple of weeks and get all my vaccinations and certs done in advance! I think its best to have these all ready by the time your NOA2 comes as if its within 12 months im pretty sure all ur details are still good and valid.

Absolutely, while you're waiting, get all you can get done in advance. Sometimes it takes a few weeks or longer to make appointments, wait for police certificates etc. If you can find childhood records of vaccinations that helps too.
