DS-230 Part 1

I am just doing a bit of research to familarize myself with the process for once we receive our NOA2. I don't want to waste anytime once we get it. So my quesiton is I have found multiple posts about the content for packet 3. One question that comes to mind is the DS-230 form. Various post have put up pictures or copies of packet 3 letters with all the forms and instructions. Here's my question. Why does the embassy only require part 1 of the DS-230 form and not part 2. When would part 2 be relevant (at the interview)?

They only need part one because you are filing for a K-1. The entire document is only relavent to IR/CR1
