But most people don't get their medical way before their case closes at NVC so I was wondering if you had your medical months in advance. I really don't keep up with IR1/CR1 discussions, but isn't there some rule of themb where NVC doles out London interviews a certain week of the month and if your case isn't closed by then, you rollover to the next month's assignment week? 2nd or 3rd week of each month?? I don't remember.

I havent had my medical yet.....its on the 17th by which time I should be at case closed. Seeing that interviews seemed to have stalled I commented,thats all. I didn't realise that K1s would be treated differently once at the interview process.Apologies.

No apology needed. I thought you might be confused by all the talk of calling the embassy. K1s don't do NVC except to get a LND number and ship out to London...usually 3-4 days there. Then they wait on London to acknowledge their case with a letter. Then they wait on London to give them an interview once the forms and medical results are received. They don't send all the documents and Affidavit of Support to NVC. It takes them at least 3 weeks to give out an interview after they have all the pieces in (on a good day. )With all the holidays, it takes longer. Happens every year. Your interview will be assigned by NVC and it doesn't depend on if you've had your medical yet. You are just expected to get it done before you interview.
