My fiance just got a call from the US Embassy in Cairo and was informed that his interview date will be on January 10th. He did not receive any interview letter by DHL.

Do I have to email the US Embassy to request an interview letter? If he doesn't have a letter for his interview, will that impact his entrance to the embassy or his interview in any way?

Also, any advice from others who had K1 interviews in Cairo would be greatly appreciated because I am really worried and am hoping for the best.

I know that NVC is working more with emails. My husband and I both got an email with his IV packet as a PFD file. Did you receive an email from them that notified you. I am not for sure how it works for K-1 vs I-130 from NVC and the Embassy. 1st check your emails if you was notified that way, if not, he can call the Embassy and they will send another or through email. But most of the paper work you can find on the site and fill out and find the list of Dr's. I hope someone that did K-1 can tell you for sure. And good luck!!

Others have mentioned not receiving a package 4 ( interview date letter). They have received a phone call or an email with the appointment time and date. If you would feel better to email them to confirm that would be fine. It will take 3-5 days for them to reply. I know having the email copy in hand at the entrance would put you at ease. The Best of Luck in the interview (F)

To Add: you can check the schedule to see if they have updated it from time to time, if they do you can see your appointment here and carry a copy of this page with you.
