Visa journey was very helpful during my experiences bringing my fiance here to the USA. I can now report that she has been here almost 4 wonderful years and received her certificate of naturalization last week and applied last Friday for her US passport. We have already booked tickets to the Philippines the end of Feburuary for her first visit home for a month stay to see her family and bring her daughter back with us to North Carolina.

I am in need of advice since we are staying longer than 21 days if I need to apply for a tourist visa or can I qualify for balikbayan visa. She will be traveling on her US passport but still has her Philippine passport not expiring until Nov. 2013. We will fly into Cebu then on to Surgaio City. Needless to say I am excited to spend the time the Philippines.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just to update it took 5 months from the time I filed K1 visa till she landed in Greensboro NC and in 3 years 9 months she is a US citizen and her daughter will have US citizenship when the plane touches ground Atlanta Georgia March 26. Very happy outcome here! Ha! Thanks and wish everyone Merry Xmas and happy journeys!!

As long as you enter the country with your Wife and have your marriage certificate with you just in case they ask for it you will qualify for a Balikbayan Visa. Just ask them for the stamp upon entering the country. Then yes no worries you can stay up to one year on the stamp.
