I am asking what happens during and after the K1 visa interview at US Embassy in New Delhi. According to the information posted here it says you don't receive the visa same day, but it's stamped next day?

Does that mean they take and hold on to your passport and after they stamp it, they send via courier or post wala?

It seems like we have experienced difficulties using post wala, as her packet 3/4 were opened and unsealed when she received them. It's like they opened her mail.

I'm just wondering what happens after the interview since our flight will be 1 week after interview date, and I'm hoping the passport is not mailed through regular post because it might get lost.

If visa is granted, then it can be printed same day or next day ( Depend up to how busy they are ). If it is printed same day, then it will be ready for pick up at VFS office by 5 or 5:30 pm. If no one picks up the visa, then they will dispatch after 6:30 pm.

They use BlueDart, be assured that your package will be safe.
