Big Labor vs. Little Hot Dog Vendor

Labor unions and liberals like to pretend that "main street" mom and pop small businesses agree with their policies on everything from Obamacare to Right-to-Work laws. They create bogus support groups and organizations to bolster the illusion of such support - and are often successful in conning the main street media to play along and report the fabrications as fact.

But their true feelings about entrepreneurs that sustain small businesses were on full display at the state Capitol Tuesday as their Astroturf mob demonstrating against RTW legislation destroyed Clint Tarver's hot dog stand.

Tarver, known as "The Hot Dog Guy" here in Lansing (see his business story here), is always out on the corner of Michigan and Capitol selling hot dogs and other food from his hot dog cart - another hard working guy trying to make a buck. When he heard about the expected crowds he did what any smart business owner would do - he bought extra food and set up shop at the Capitol.

Unfortunately for Clint, his cart was totally destroyed by the labor union and liberal activist mob assembled to protest against the Right-to-Work legislation. Lorilea Susanne, who has kindly set up a fund to help restore his loss, reports:

"Early today, Clint Tarver, known as "The Hot Dog Guy" here in Lansing had his business attacked and destroyed by out of line and out of control protesters near the Capitol. Everyone who has passed the hot dog cart knows what a kind and caring individual Clint is. He never fails to bestow a smile or friendly greeting. In no way did he provoke this attack, nor any of the behavior displayed toward him. Regardless of your position on current legislation, rebuilding Clint's Hot Dogs is something we can all support. Please give what you can to get this deserving businessman back out there!"
