. . .I plan on going to the K-1 Visa interview with my Lady and am wondering if I can bring in my Cellphone? How about Snacks / Water / Book??? Any insight from a US Citizen who has accompanied his Lady to the interview???? I know, make sure I bring my US Passport. . . Thanks in advance! By the way I am in TUG now. . .

If you are a US citizen you will be allowed to bring your cellphone. You just have to leave it with the security when you enter the first door. You are not allowed to bring food inside the US embassy. DOn't worry about this because they sell food inside. Book is fine. Good luck on your interview and K1 visa journey!!!

According to all the posts I've read, US citizens can bring their cellphones but have to check it in with security as they are not allowed in the Embassy. Only US citizens can check cellphones in with security, your lady will not be able to BUT I hear there is a vender outside the embassy who will check HER cell in for a reasonable price, like 150Php I think. Sounds legit to me! :lol:

Any electronic devices and food are not permitted on Embassy grounds. Applicants who bring such devices or food will be denied entry. With the exception of US Citizen but need to turn in to authorize personnel within USEM.

no electronics inside I think thats what I heard and based on what Ive read ... bottled water might be okay but I still dont have any idea if its a yes to bring some .. anyways goodluck to her interview

When I went to the Embassy in February for my appointment to get my Affidavit of Freedom to Marry I had to leave my electronics with security as others have said. My wife (fiance at the time) was also allowed to check all of her electronics with mine without having to leave them outside the Embassy.
