Forms After NOA2

Hi all :D

As some of you may know our NOA2 was approved!! WOOP!! So quick!!

My fiance has filled out the I-134 form and is in the process of getting tax transcripts (not sure how long this will take as he is on active duty in Afghan but fingers crossed), and I have filled out pretty much all forms like the DS-157 etc.

I am sending off for my police certificate today and I have my booster vaccines booked for next Tuesday.

Is the best thing now just to wait for our case to be forwarded to the NVC and the Embassy before I go any further?? I know I have to wait until my police certificate comes back as I need this for the medical. I'm just gathering everything I need ready for "Packet 3" but just wondering if everything else will be processed just as quick as our NOA2 was. Am I missing anything? I created an excel checklist spreadsheet and I think I have everything :)

I know it states to contact the NVC after 2 weeks but cause it was processed SO quickly do you think they would receive it quicker?? Can i contact them from London or should my fiance call from Afghan when he has a chance??

Be sure to read the pinned thread at the top of the UK forum on post-NOA2 for K-1s. Definitely wait until the NVC has processed your case before moving forward. Your case is moving from Dept. of Homeland Security to the Dept. of State. It's possible that it will continue to move through quickly, but given the upcoming holidays, it could slow down. Familiarize yourself with this phone number, (202) 663-1225, press 1, then 0, if you need to get answers on the status of your case.

I just went to my doctor. I explained what I needed, they printed me off a copy of my vaccinations and booked me in for Tuesday.

The nurses deal with the vaccinations.

If I may ask, how much did you pay? uhm, re:medical exam.. Did you wait for your case to be completed first before you booked your medical examination? (I don't know if you're CR1)

I have vaccination records issue. My mother told me that I had complete vaccination all thorough out my childhood.. and I did booster myself as I am a nurse. How on earth can I prove that if my mother said it's all gone(records) due to flooding in my origin country. I don't want to get those shots all over again (those are Tdap vaccines). I am waiting for the case number as well. I've learnt that we are able to phone them and ask about the LND case number but it might be too soon. whistling.gif

Where is your original country?? I went to the doctors and they had all my vaccine records on file so they just printed me one out but I'm getting another one today after my vaccines so its even more up to date :D we received our NOA2 on the 26th...28days since NOA1!!! So happy :) I'm going to give it a few more days then ring the NVC. You might not have to get the Tdap again but you are suppose to get them every 10 years anyway. I'm a year overdue mine!

Philippines. Was your case been expedited? This process wouldn't be as smooth as possible we could ever imagine. I've learnt that my husband falls on poverty line. So we basically need co-sponsorship and it's definitely hard to get. The last time I ad my vaccination of tetanus was 4yrs ago. I might pop in the GP clinic and ask if I could have a booster.

My fiance is in the US Air force and is on active duty at the moment and even though we looked into it being expedited it was already approved before we sent off any documents. Our only guess is they did it anyway cause it was very fast! Oh no!! Is there not a member of his family who can be sponsor?? You shouldnt need your tetanus if your last one was 4 years ago though. I got my Tdap (DTP) and MMR boosters about an hour ago. My arm aches now haha.

Too bad none of them :(

He couldn't even get a second job because he doesn't have fixed schedules. You're lucky cuz he's in the Air Force. My hubby wouldn't be able to enter military because he's deaf. Got my NOA2 47working days but 66 calendar days.

I know the military cant accept everyone cause of obvious reasons when it comes to the type of work but if he ever wanted to join I think there are aspects of the military that he could work in. Like office wise on base and I doubt he would be deployed. Might be worth looking into if he ever fancied it. Could he not find another job that doesnt work on fixed schedules...then merge them together?? Or maybe work out a rota with his current employment?? I know it would slow down the visa process but could he not leave his current job and find another or 2 that would put him above the poverty line?? Savings? Prove that you have enough to survive until you can find work?? Hmmm there must be something.

I have some distant relatives and one of my 3rd degree cousin (LPR only) is willing to be a joint sponsor. I hope that helps. I still keep on looking for someone. We are looking, just not giving up with this. wacko.gif

Any sponsor is better than no sponsor but yes don't give up. I dont know much about the sponsorship part of it as my fiance is above the poverty line but is it just family members who can sponsor? what about friends? are they allowed to sponsor?
