NVC Very Helpful but I have Questions

I got an email on 11-13-12 in the late evening stating that our petition was approved moving us from NOA1 to NOA2. I called the NVC today (11-19-12) at 603-334-0700 and recieved our Golden Ticket the MNL# !!!!

The wait was about 10 minutes to talk with the rep and they asked a few questions like:

Case number EAC********

My name and birthdate

Fiancee's name and birthdate

I then asked for the Manila Case Number and it was given to me

Can i print the receipt, pay for the Visa application at BPI (in the philippines) and then SCHEDULE THE INTERVIEW (within about 24 hours) if the consulate has not received the package from the NVC?

Generally NO. They do not know at this point if NVC is even going to forward the petition at all or when. NVC can do additional processing and even reject the approved petition and send it back to USCIS. Consulates do not tie up appointment windows until they have an approved petition in their hand.
